I am planning some changes to our officer list with some pending demotions which will free up 1-3 officer spots. One of these spots has already been assigned to a long awaited and very well deserved member. So potentially we will have 2 spots availble. I have no deadline for applying or a schedule for the demotions/promotions yet.
If any of you is interested, please make sure you fulfill the requirements mentioned here: Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | .
After you review the reqs and the duties of an officer, and if you think you have what it takes, please apply for an officer spot in this thread letting us know why you would be a good addition to our officer list.

Well im a few weeks off from the 2 month rule, but I figured I would go ahead and put it my application anyways. I have been an officer before in GR alliance for [Akki]. I really loved that guild, but it had many problems so I joined [LoD]. my account has 11 char slots with 7 lvl20's NF and Factions C.E. I have beat every game except NF stuck in Gate of Madness. I help guild and alliance with missions/quest when im not in another mission myself. I'm very active as I've played 1,743 hours and 16 minutes over the past 14 months. My main IGN Chars are Dervish/ Seymour Vayne, Ranger/ Reks Valentine, and Monk/ Samuel The Colt. _________________ JaredW

Hello! I figured I'd give this a shot
I've got 3 lvl 20's (four if you force me to use my monk )
E/x Syve Forrorn -- can go anywhere
D/x Piraiya Forrorn -- can go to DoA, FoW, UW, SF, close to Urgoz/Deep
R/x Oksana Forrorn -- can go to FoW, UW
Joined LOD January 12th, 2008
I've gone on numerous guild runs to pretty much every area and I enjoy helping people out whenever I'm not busy. I guess that's it! It's been real fun and I'm very happy to be part of LOD . |

I would like to apply for the vacant officer posting.
I have close to 4900 hours logged on this, my primary, account which has been active for 36 months. I have multiple level 20s.
I mainly play my monk Cardinal Bishop but I do use all of my characters. Between both accounts I have played every class.
I am mature and get along with everyone in the guild and the alliance. In my real world profession as a teacher I handle a lot of the same issues in the classroom that arise in the guild/ alliance dynamic.
I actively participate in guild and alliance activities and am logged on approximately 5 nights a week. This will increase during the summer months. I am located in the Pacific timezone. This would provide the guild with the added benefit of having an officer's presence later in the evening.
I have been an officer in BD (Blazin Dragons) which at one time was a very active guild. I am currently the keeper of the guildhall on my second account. I believe I have many positive qualities that make me an ideal candidate to be an officer in LOD.
I look forward to discussing these qualites in more detail when you begin to finalize your selections.
Thank you,
Cardinal Bishop |

Application for LOD Officership
Background
My main character is Marlin Backna, Level 20 Warrior. He has beaten every campaign (Proph, Factions, NF, EotN) and has most of the skills unlocked for Warrior (at least the important ones, anyway). Other characters I play with are Mortium Exercitus (Level 20 Ritualist, has beaten Factions and EotN), Jugs Mcgee (Level 20 Paragon, has beaten Nightfall and EotN), Zeis Van Woade (Level 20 Dervish, has beaten NF), and The Shining Mist (Level 20 Monk, has beaten NF). I have played across all characters for more than 1300 over 26 months, with 570 of those on my Warrior. In terms of activity, I play most nights of the week (6-12 EST), but sometimes play during the day as well. I am usually on during the weekends for at least some amount of time, ranging from 2-3 hours to all day.
History with the Guild
I joined the guild 8 months ago when I was on the guild hunt when I saw a recruitment ad on Guru for an awesome guild I recalled that was the leader of the alliance I used to be in. I have participated in several renditions of Pwnzilla, starting from the old Urgoz when I was in THUG a year ago to Slaver's when I first joined the guild, to DoA, to UW, and currently to the new record-breaking runs in Urgoz. Through these runs, I have become extremely familiar with these areas and feel comfortable with several builds in each place.
Reasons for Wanting Officership
I deeply enjoy being in this guild, and I want to serve it even more that goes beyond just being a member. We have a really great group here, and I want to make myself even more of a part with it. I also feel that I should put my knowledge of the game to good use, which being an officer will help me to do.
Thanks for the oppurtunity, Randy.

Ok so first off just want to say excellent choice in appointing Dink to the LOD officer list, that is well deserved.
Now on to business...so I guess I will jump on the bandwagon too and put my name in the hat to become an officer of the one-and-only LOD Guild. Not that I don't want to be an officer it is just hard for me to toot my own horn, I would rather be asked/offer than have to apply personally but this works. I apologize for the length, I was in a wordy mood today after work.
First off I am a 20 year old college student attending THE Pennsylvania State University. WE ARE... PENN STATE. Yeah so anyway, I love gaming, specifically PC gaming and play many other games besides Guild Wars but it is by far my favorite and has been for about three years now.
Now for some tooting...
I would say I am one of LODs more active members, logging several hours daily, barely a day goes by that you won't see my name online. And when I play it is usually late into the night so I am around when many of our officers are not on. I'm always around to lend a hand to anyone in the Alliance and more specifically the Guild. 'Anything for a Guildie.'
I have good experience running most builds on the different professions of my characters and if I don't yet, I will if I am asked. I am willing to do anything for the guild. If we need X then I will do whatever it is I can to get that for us. I give 110% all the time.
I joined my first time back in July of '07, 7/11/07 IIRC. I was kicked later that year during a fall gaming hiatus for inactivity within the guild, something I consider to be a GREAT INJUSTICE! But in all honestly I can understand if that would be a strike against me here. Since my rejoining in February of this year I have never been happier with Guild Wars. I have matured much since I first joined and understand the game and guild much better now. Thank you again Randy for the second chance, you have a very nice policy with regards to ex-members.
I feel that I have good report with the Guild and the Alliance currently. By now some of the Alliance probably know my name(s), specifically the SCAR group we do so many runs on, I really like those guys. I would like to get to know as many of the other guilds leaders and members as I can as to foster a better relationship within the alliance.
I can understand and appreciate your decision if you so choose to pass me over for the position as I go on many of our Guild's 'Epic Runs'. I would hate for anyone within the Guild to be disappointed if they don't get to partake in the fun because it seems like only officers get to go on said runs. That is one of the reasons why I am so willing to give up a spot if it is needed for ANY run. Selfless gaming FTW.
Now for my cast of characters...(all level 20s unless otherwise noted)
Mathius Snipes (Main) - W/XHas been to and beaten everything thus far.
Magnificent Monk (Main-ish) - M/X
Has beaten all of Prophecies and most of Factions. Currently getting through Nightfall and EotN.
The Fire Inside - E/X
Has beaten all of Prophecies.
Killer Kittens - N/X
Has beaten all of Prophecies and most of Factions. Currently in Nightfall.
The Wild Side - D/X
Currently in Nightfall.
Sword of the Faith - P/X
Currently in Nightfall.
Natural Apology - R/X
Currently in Prophecies and EotN.
Savior Of Prophets - Rt/X
Has beaten most of Factions.
One Big Nife (16) - A/R
Mule in Factions n00bland.
The Lady Dazzler (7) - Me/?
Currently in Pre, awaiting Prophecies Mule-ship!
Across all characters I have logged and played 3,558 hours thus far and intend on logging several thousand more. I am a very dedicated player and intend on sticking with this game and our amazing guild until the bitter end when the GW servers no longer function.
In any case I greatly look forward to carrying the LOD name on and into Guild Wars II as an officer or as a member, either way it is one helluva'n honor to be here. _________________

I don't know if I currently meet the two months requirement, however I have been in this guild a lot longer than two months over my guild wars history. I was kicked for being AFK because I was taking a break from playing for a couple months.
I love playing guild wars and there is no type of play like the PWNZILLA! Participating in our epic runs is my favorite activity by far, and I do it quite frequently to the tune of almost every night. I like to have fun and set records. I have been on several record breaking runs including our URGOZ 26 MINUTES!!!
My MAIN characters are:
Selena Del Mara-E/any
I nuke very very well on this character. I have recently maxed ursan and have the armor with insignias to make me a reliable choice. I have beaten GWEN, NF, and Factions on this character. I know how to run the UW solo build but not yet where to go. I am eager to learn though.
Aiel Wise Woman-Mo/any
I have been runnign HB for our elite runs quite a few times on this character. I have beaten NF on her and have slavers unlocked. I'll work on getting her to urgoz eventually. I have healed on epic FOW runs numerous times recently
I also have a ranger, warrior, derv, assasin, pvp slot, and free spot.
Whether or not I am chosen for one of the officer positions, I will continue to participate where I am needed and enjoy it all the way.
PWNZILLA FTW! |

1)Activity – I am highly active, I play Guild Wars every day at least for a few hours, a lot more at weekend. I have almost 4,000 hours over my characters in 2 years.
2) Recruiting – Not a problem. I was an officer in my previous guild (which I was with for 12 month and left due to officer inactivity and apathy) and know what’s required re: recruitment.
3) Commitment - I have been a member of LOD since January 2008 (accidentally kicked for inactivity while I was on holiday!). I intend to stay here for the rest of GW1 and into GW2.
4) Experience – I have over 3,000 hours monking and another thousand split between Warrior and Elementalist, not to mention micro-managing hero builds (predominantly necro, warriors, elementalists, paragons and ranger builds). I have experience multiple experience of running FoW with the alliance (mainly SCAR), and have also participated in numerous DoA runs (mainly non-alliance), UW and Urgoz (I want to do a lot more Urgoz and UW).
I have KoaBD r5 (Rich Mahogany), I’m aiming for r6 & I have the following 27 maxed titles:
Legendary Cartographer
Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer
Canthan Grandmaster Cartographer
Elonian Grandmaster Cartographer
Legendary Guardian
Guardian of Cantha
Guardian of Tyria
Guardian of Elona
Protector of Tyria
Protector of Cantha
Protector of Elona
Legendary Skill Hunter
Tyrian Elite Skill Hunter
Canthan Elite Skill Hunter
Elonian Elite Skill Hunter
Incorrigible Ale Hound
Legendary Spearmaeshal
Holy Lightbringer
Legendary Master of the North
Slayer of All
Legendary Delver
Not Too Shabby
Secret Agent
Tyrian Vanquisher
Canthan Vanquisher
Elonian Vanquisher
Legendary Vanquisher
5) Helpfulness – Can I ask Dante for a reference here? Helped him recently in his pursuit of maxed titles. I currently try to help as many people as I can in AC / GC with any builds or questions they have, and frequently assist other with mission (HM & NM) quests and dungeons. Everyone need a good monk!
6) Participation – Mainly helping fellow guildies with missions / quests / advice. My organised run experience with LOD is unfortunately limited due to time differences. Mostly I do FoW runs with SCAR, but this is something I would look to increase as an officer – its limited to late nights at the weekend for me at the moment.
Other
I’m an a mature player (29 years old) and an arguably LODs most active GMT-centric player. My reasons for applying for officer status is because I want to help LOD to continue to thrive and prosper, I want to be a bigger part of this guild than I am already. But mainly; The LOD officers, being almost exclusively US based (correct me if I’m wrong), are quite inactive during my day (GMT) and I think it would be useful for the guild leading our alliance to have an active officer on during these times to deal with any issues that may arise, be it recruiting, attempting to keep the dreaded wtb / pc / wts spam of AC etc. I hope to, at the very least, be that person.
Good luck to every one else who applies.
Sean

I don't think a "reapplication" is necessary. Everyone who posted here is still up for consideration. I doubt that this thread has an expiration date
Anyway, good luck to all who posted! |

I'm Interested in the 2 new officer spots available. (Just to let you all know, the Pm in my name stands for my initials, NOT Private Message, lol)
1.) [Activity] I'm very active on Guild Wars, I'm Almost always on from 8:00 PM.-1 A.M, Also, I'm early in the morning, from around 9:00 A.M - 12:00, even longer then that sometimes.
2.) [Recruiting] In my old guild, [OMEG] I had helped my leader recruit 20 experienced people within a week, and I dont mind spending 30 min in a town/outpost recruiting for LOD when neccesary.
3.) [Commitment] Though I haven't be in the guild for 2 months recently, I was a member back in January-April, before I had to leave guild wars, to better concentrate on my school work.
4.) [Experience] I know experience is probably one of the most crucial parts of and officer position. I've been playing Guild Wars since the summer of 2006. I have leveled at least every profession to lvl 20, and know how to play each. Throughtout my time playing, I have accumulated well over 4mil, but have spent it on over 25 Ascended armour set, including 2 vabbi (back when it was over 500k a set), and 1 fow set. I've also beaten every game, at least 3 times, and have done every elite area in game at least once except Slavers (Only because i heard it wasnt worth my time too). Although im not a "title grinder" I do have some titles like protectors from cantha/Elona, and also gladiator, and survivor titles. I also make a lot of characters for fun, buy them rare weps, and expensive armour, and end up deleting them in end . RIP Spiritlord Pm, Divinelight Pm, Healinglord Pm, Spearlord Pm, Scythelord Pm, and Warriorlord Pm.
Characters:
Firelord Pm (Elementalist)- Has beaten Proph, Factions, Nightfall, Eotn
Holylight Pm (Monk)- Has beaten Proph, Factions, Nightfall, and is currenty doing Eotn.
Shadowlord Pm (Assassin) - Has beaten Proph, Nightfall, Factions, and Eotn
Bowlord Pm (Ranger)- Has beaten Proph, Factions, Nightfall, and is on Eotn *Notice* I'm making a new ranger and only keeping Bowlord for b-day gifts.
4.) [Helpfulness] I try to help anyone whenever I can, though if it gets hard to, but if im not I would gladly help people. There is one thing though I'm skeptical on about helping is "lending" large amounts of cash, due to bad encounters with it in the past. I also give out a lot of free goodies when my storage has become overwhelmed with them.
5.) [Participation] Before I left Guild Wars for school, I did countless DoA runs, and UW runs with LOD. Since i've been back, this past week every night except one, I did a DoA run, UW, and Urgoz run. The way I see it is, I will always be there for the run unless all spots are taken, or if somthing in my life is going on that night.
Thank you, LOD has been such a godly guild, and im proud to be a member of it, or hopefully an officer now |

First a bit about myself, I'm 22 and live in Holland most of the time, my folks are both from the US so I'm sorta a mix of everything :p At the moment I'm studying music in college which is going great and I'm really enjoying. So besides the bands I play in, getting drunk with m8s etc. GW is one of largest hobbies and free time wasters Always been a gamer and GW had me hooked once I started playing it for real. Now on to some of the formal info stuff
Activity: After having not been on much at all the past month dew to internship, moving over to US etc. I'm planning on making all that up this coming period of time I have over 3500 hours in the nearly 3 years I've played so far and plan on adding a good deal to that :p At the moment I'm in US time (west coast) but generally I'm in Euro (GMT -1)
LoD History: I've been in LoD for at least a year I'm fairly sure at the moment, and have been proud to be part of this amazing guild from day 1 (was hooked very first urgoz run few days after I joined with Weenis's excellent narration during the run :p) I love the speed runs we do trying to become better, and ofc the best as ultimate goal Was myself on the record Urgoz and FoW run. I'm committed to see LoD grow even greater than it already is, and help keep it the fun community we have at the moment
Experience: I've played for close to 3 years now, I have a level 20 of every profession besides Ritualist (working on one) and Ranger but my mains are my Warrior (close to r5 koabd) and Paragon, I'm planning on making my rit a major character as well. Before LoD I've been guild leader and officer in several other guilds, and lots of leadership experience in the game I played previous to this (Planetarion, where being officer/leader is basically a full time job :p)
So as a closing note, I love LoD and want to see it get even more awsome than it is atm, and want to help it become that _________________ Go tell the spartans, stranger passing by, that here obedient to their laws, we lie. |

Heya people, i dont know if officer spots are full or not, but i thought i would give it a go and see what happens
IGN: Ghost Kairi/Kairi Eternal/Kairi Goes Perma Sf
Ok so heres what you need to know about me:
IM BRITISH FTW!!! Hehe but seriously now, Im nearly 15 And am currently working my way through my 2nd from last year at school, and intending to go to university for a course in music due to my apparenly outstanding success in that subject. (Age doesnt represent Matureity )
Guild Wars Life:
My god, where do i start.. Well, ive been playing since day 1, which belive it or not, my dad got me into. At first it seemed really cool that my whole family was playing guild wars, even my 7 year old brother.. But this quickly became a problem for me when i saw everyone was getting too addicted, i then decided to take a 6 month break. Midway during this break my friends started GW and i quickly came back into it. Since then i have been a reg. player on almost every day for at least an hour. On my own account, which for people who didnt know, i restarted a little while before i joined LOD, and have been maybe playing a little too much hehe I have 2300+Hours on my account, 1700 Being on a character i recently decided to delete... My main success resides in the 5000+ chests i had managed to run in so little time ( I hurd FoW chest run WAS ftw ). I have never been a title person, to me its all about the community and playing with friends.. Also about coming filthy rich too though of course...
Characters:
Kairi Eternal (W/Me) Lvl20, Proph Nearly Complete, FoW and Chaos Gloves (During Ursan HayDay... Such a bad move) ReTiReD
Ghost Kairi (E/A) Lvl20, Working On Completing the games for elite areas, but not going so fast
Kairi Goes Perma Sf (A/E/Me) Lvl20, UW Only, I made this during SF HayDay, Quickly acumulated amazing riches (300E in 4 days) with the UW runs, but due to slight nerfing, almost obsulete now.
Those are all i have, and as i respect the need for multiple Professions in areas to spread team variety, i do not want to spread my attention over to many characters, i have made that mistake before and it ruined GW for me...
What I Hope To Achieve In LOD:
Well, where do i start? Im sure you know how active i am, due to me running in teams that cause me to stay up to the very early hours of tomorrow for you guys Due to my european base, it is hard for me to really do anything in an american guild, but that is why i try my best to play late instead of early so i can catch all you americans Although i am not an officer (Yet ) I do my best to set up regular events for those that are on during Euro times and sometimes late, but i normaly hand over to Randy when his on I am very well respected in AFS for my amazing ability to forget to set my attributes for UW 5 runs in a row hahaha. I might not seem like much, but if its any help, i really think i can help this guild out a lot...
Thanks for reading Guyzzz
